Posture Regression in the Technological Boom

Are you as plugged in as your neighbour on the train, in the bus or at the workplace? Are you always seemingly interested in scrolling and re-scrolling Facebook to find out the latest happenings on a minute to minute update? Or are you feeling to lazy to walk and feel it would be more efficient to use a e-scooter or simply get not move at all?

Here are just some of the examples that has affects our lives on a daily basis yet we seem to be oblivious to it. How many of us are looking down at our phones and after awhile begin to feel neck and upper back aches? Anyone? Well, its not just the problem of the mobile generation but the reliance or “efficiency” if we must to quicken the pace of our already very fast lives. The issues that come with the contribution to “efficiency” is not only beginning to show signs in the number of people requiring surgery or have faced injuries due to spinal problems. These problems are becoming more common among the younger generation, all you need to do is turn to your right and left wherever you are and begin to observe how many people have their hands bent and looking at the phones? Also, if you are in the office look at how many people has their head moving forward towards the computer, slouching to one side and almost forming into the chair. It will amaze you by simply observing.

The purpose of this article is for you (everyone that reads this) to think about how what you may be doing frequently that becomes a habit to become aware of it. There is no one fix all problem solution, the first step is accept the problems we are facing and work towards making it reduce and disappear as much as possible.
